My Mission Statement: My duty as a teacher/coach is to give students and players the opportunity to succeed/excel in school, on the court, and in life. This teaching/coaching environment is established by promoting self-discipline, loyalty, responsibility, and to encourage a life-long appreciation of learning. All of these components will allow me to motivate students to set high expectations and continue to work hard to maintain those expectations so they know that anything is achievable.
About Me: I am happily married to my wife, Ashlee, who is a physical therapist. We enjoy traveling, taking walks, and watching sports. We also enjoy TV shows such as Big Brother, Jimmy Fallon, Billions, Homeland, Americans, and Suits. We have a beautiful daughter, Claire, who was born on June 3, 2009 and she keeps us very busy. Basketball is a life long passion of mine. I played it throughout my childhood and college career. However, now I just enjoy watching and coaching it! I also enjoy watching my favorite sports teams which include the Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, Chicago Bears, and Fighting Illini. The Cubs are 2016 World Series Champions for the first time in 108 years! I also love to travel to my favorite destinations which include Wrigley Field, Las Vegas, Destin, and Colorado.
Supply List: All classes need to have a folder to save their homework, quizzes, and projects in. Notebook paper, a black pen, and a pencil are also recommended. Students who are enrolled in Current Events need to have a subscription to a news magazine which is paid for during registration in the office.
